I began a search of the motor home at the rear and worked Vegas down the drivers side. At the hood I noticed he was detailing the grill. I further worked him down the passengers side. Vegas showed interest in the rear end compartments and dual rear tires. He climbed under the motor home and was heavily sniffing the rear floor and tires on the passenger side. I worked him around the motor home several times and each time he would return to the rear passengers side and show interest.
I next moved him inside the motor home. I worked from the front to the rear. Vegas alerted on a plastic camera package in the door pocket on the passengers seat. He further worked the area and alerted on a digital camera that was in the center console.
Once in the rear of the motor home he alerted on a suitcase that was on the bed. He further showed interest in the entire rear room but did not pin point an area.
I then removed him from the motor home for a break and the Customs Agents began search by hand inside. They located hidden money under the kitchen sink cabinet. While looking around I located a rectangle zipper nylon container behind a DVD player in a cabinet above the couch. Inside the nylon container was $4520 in Canadian currency.
While in the room where the Customs Agents were counting the money a very obvious odor of marijuana was present.
At the time I cleared, over $28,000 in Canadian and Us Currency had been found.
